    As an international business, headquartered in the UK, we operate responsibly and to strict legal and financial standards defined by the UK and the local jurisdictions we manage relocations within around the world.

    As an AGM Group company, our business operates to the strong governance standards set by our parent company. This includes our commitment to a groupwide Corporate Social Responsibility programme and policies across these seven areas:

    Sustainable and fair

    Our objective is to operate our business in a way that is sustainable and fair. This impacts every aspect of our business, from of our environmental practices, financial stability, ensuring health and safety, data security, ensuring our pricing is realistic, how we work with our customers, how we treat our employees and how we manage our service partners.

    We aim to create best practice in the areas we are able to influence:

    1. Our offices

    We focus on our own employees and offices to ensure best practices. This is the area where we are able to make the most immediate impact and implement changes quickly.

    2. Our global network

    As a global business we employ and manage service partners around the world to deliver relocation and moving services. We are able to influence their best practices to improve standards worldwide as part of the conditions of working for us.

    3. Our customers

    By offering services that are compliant and delivered using best practice and at a fair cost, we offer customers a better alternative. By creating awareness of the key issues and providing solutions to our customers we are able to make a positive impact and help them achieve their own governance and CSR objectives too.

    We are a people company. As an international relocation business our success has been built on helping companies build diverse workplaces and bringing people together. It only feels natural that we would promote inclusivity and equality in every way we can. As an example, in our UK office we speak the following languages English, Afrikaans, Arabic, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Swahili and Urdu. We strive to continually grow and learn so that we can provide the best service for our global customers.

    We are an accredited Living Wage Employer, and we see this as the least we can do. Therefore, we ensure that our employees are paid fairly and in line with the industry and offer benefits packages that support the needs of our employees.

    It is our employees and their commitment to our customers that make everything possible. We created an ‘Employee Benefit Trust’, making our employees part owners of AGM Group with 25% of the shares of the company allocated to the trust. Our goal is to retain and reward great customer service and employee longevity.

    As an employer and our role in managing a global supply chain of service partners, we are committed to ensure that the service our customers receive and the price you pay is not to the determinant of another person. Our strict management of our service partners and how we operate our own offices is an important part of prevention against modern slavery.

    This is a critical challenge to everyone. Ensuring we have the necessary processes in place to maintain continuity of service and the integrity of customer data is key. We adhere to best practices by operating within GDPR guidelines and we are also ISO27001 certified. Your privacy is our priority. Please see our data privacy policy.

    Emissions and Carbon Management

    We have committed to reduce our carbon emissions relative to our turnover. We have measured our carbon emissions and set out a plan to reduce our emissions. This has included changing our workplace and behaviours to become more energy efficient, changing our procurement practices, updating our fleet to low emission vehicles and reducing air travel. Like many companies we have lots more to do but we have significantly changed we work which has made a big difference.

    Removing single use plastics and sustainable packaging

    Over the decades, plastics have revolutionised all of our lives but we are having to rethink how we do things. We are looking at ways to remove plastics from our service. In particular single use plastics. Where we can we are replacing these with preferably organic alternatives, or where these are not available reusable and recyclable options. As a business we have been using wood and paper from sustainable forests, without bleaching and recycle almost 100% of these materials we receive in. We are also testing alternatives to plastic tape and removing single use plastics from our offices.

    Charity Collections for Marie Curie Cancer Care

    Gerson Relocation is a long-term supporter of Marie Curie Cancer Care. We provide a service on every move where our customers can opt to donate items from their move to support Marie Curie.  Donated items will be collected by Gerson Relocation and delivered to Marie Curie to sell in their shops. This helps to raise money and encourages reusing and upcycling.

    Collection of Trussell Trust Foodbank donations on each move

    Donate food when you move with Gerson Relocation. According to statistics emergency food supplies from food banks are in increasing demand from families who are having to deal with poverty. We are working with the Trussell Trust to make it easy for the people we move to donate food to families in need. If you are moving and have any unopened tinned or non-perishable foods with a 3-month shelf-life that you no longer require, ask Gerson Relocation to provide you with our charity cartons and labels as part of your move.

    Clic Sargent Collections

    Gerson Relocation working with CLIC Sargent to create awareness of their cause. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide children & young people affected by Cancer. For the children in hospital this year, let’s work together to remind them we are thinking of them. Get involved this year to help lots of young people and children this Christmas.

    Gerson Relocation are delighted to be working alongside Planet Mark to make a positive impact on the planet and society by measuring our emissions and cutting our carbon footprint. We’re also proud to be helping tackle the climate crisis through Planet Mark’s Business Certification.

    BubbaTree - Positive - Impact - Action

    BubbaTree is an environmental initiative launched by AGM Group, parent company of Gerson Relocation, in collaboration with the World Land Trust. This program enables customers to offset the carbon footprint of their moves by planting a tree for each booking made. AGM Group integrates tree planting into its services to reduce carbon emissions and support the restoration of forests. This initiative also contributes to ecosystem rehabilitation and promotes job creation in reforested areas, thus aiding in poverty alleviation.
