Amnesty International Chooses Gerson Relocation

Amnesty International, the global organisation committed to promoting and protecting human rights around the world has selected Gerson Relocation to support its global relocation requirements.

In a process lasting over four months, Amnesty International conducted a thorough review of providers and service propositions before appointing Gerson Relocation. In accordance to the organisation’s procurement policy, the review took the form of a formal tender process and pricing submission as well as site visits with short listed participants. Over the course of the review period, Amnesty International communicated regularly with all participating companies to ensure that proposals had been understood and that fee schedules were compared on a like for like basis.

The Head of Resourcing at Amnesty International worked closely with Amnesty International’s Contracts Team to ensure that the chosen service partner was the ‘best fit’ for Amnesty International. The team were clear that at the start of the review process they established five key criteria on which they would assess bid submissions:

  • Value for money
  • Service and account management capability
  • Financial viability
  • Innovative ideas and problem solving
  • Ability to deal with a complex organisation
  • Ethical compliance

The team were very impressed with the majority of the responses received and as this was the first time that the organisation had selected a sole supplier to support its relocation requirements, it was important that a fair and transparent process was adhered to that would allow them to select the right company both from a commercial and service delivery perspective. They were particularly impressed by Gerson Relocation’s experience and their commitment to establishing a long term partnership with Amnesty International.

Niall Mackay, Managing Director Gerson Relocation comments; ‘’Everyone at Gerson Relocation is delighted that we have been selected to support Amnesty International with their relocation requirements. We know that the bid process was extremely competitive and I’m very pleased that we have been able to demonstrate our commitment to the provision of professional and highly personal relocation services that give value for money. We now look forward to building a long term relationship with Amnesty International and supporting the very important work they do.”

Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 3 million supporters, members and activists in more than 150 countries and territories who campaign to end grave abuses of human rights. Amnesty International’s vision is for every person to enjoy all the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.
