One of Gerson Relocation’s expert Business Development Managers Ashley Stagg came across an interesting blog post on the current state of the corporate relocation sector and the global mobility market recently – and we thought it was worth highlighting further on our corporate relocation blog.
The full article discusses the Wage Protection Scheme in place in Saudi Arabia, and comments on the impact for relocated assignees living and working in the region – in particular in Dubai, which remains a significant hub for the corporate relocation sector outside of Europe and North America.
The article raises pertinent points around payroll, employee rights, and illegal workers in the UAE, and Ashley’s expertise following living and working in the region demonstrated that the UAE is undergoing significant changes which global mobility managers need to be aware of.
One of the key things we bear in mind as a leading corporate relocation provider is that we have no influence on policy or the laws of the countries that our assignees are sent to work in, such as Dubai.
Whilst we add value to the mobility process for our corporate clients in order to help them remain compliant with bespoke reporting. We feel it is just as important for private individuals considering a relocation to consider vital legislation prior to choosing an international assignment.
Our team utilises a bespoke system called Red Sky and are part of the global UniGroup partnership, meaning that our experience and expertise give our clients and their assignees the flexibility needed to maintain compliance in the UAE.
