As of 1st January 2021, Rene van Valen joins Gerson Relocation, the moving and relocation business, where he will take on the role of General Manager for the Netherlands. He joins Gerson Relocation at a very exciting time of change and opportunity, not only for Gerson Relocation but our wider industry.
Rene’s relocation industry career spans 25 years, during which time he held senior roles within the corporate, consumer and commercial sides of the relocation industry. Today Rene continues to act as a FIDI Netherlands Board Member, whilst also sharing his knowledge as a FIDI Academy trainer.
Starting in January he will lead the progression and sustainable growth of Gerson Relocation in Europe, from our newly formed office in the Rotterdam area of the Netherlands. Rene’s key focus will be the development of Gerson Relocation BV within the Netherlands and the wider European market.
Prior to joining Gerson Relocation BV, he was International General Manager of Van der Ent Group for 5 years.
Rene van Valen says; Having previously worked with Paul Evans, AGM Group Chairman, knowing many Gerson Relocation UK staff members personally and being offered a great opportunity to not only become General Manager, but to have a shareholding within the business and therefore be part of the strategic development, made it a very obvious choice to join Gerson Relocation BV, who recently purchased the business of Dijkshoorn based in Rotterdam.
I am looking forward to leading from the front and truly setting the pace for the growth of Gerson Relocation BV and Dijkshoorn, this is a fantastic opportunity for me and my new team. As part of AGM Group and moreover ideally located in the port to mainland Europe, Rotterdam, we can provide a full range of relocation services to international agents, corporate and private clients.
