It’s not something we shout about very much at Gerson Relocation, but we’ve provided relocation services in London to some high-profile politicians, celebrities and superstars of show business over the five decades we’ve been in existence.
One of the most memorable and prestigious projects we’ve worked on is undoubtedly the moving services in London provided for Margaret Thatcher.
There were many domestic moves for the Thatcher family, but the Number 10 move was the most prestigious. After Lady Thatcher stepped down as Leader of the Conservative Party, Gerson Relocation were instructed to move her to Chester Square.
This also involved collecting items from Chequers, The House of Commons, and various other locations across London. It also meant items being delivered to various members of the family and different locations. A logistical nightmare, but a high-calibre domestic moving project that our removal team handled with ease.
Then over the years we have helped in the moving of offices, family members and finally after Lady Thatcher died, we helped catalogue and bring into store the contents of Chester Square.
