We’re really pleased and proud to announce that Gerson Relocation employee Alastair Cowan has completed an up-hill cycling challenge for cancer charity Inspire2Live.
Alastair took part in the Ven2-4Cancer cycling challenge with 30 UniGroup UTS colleagues on 13th September, climbing and cycling 22 kms up to Mont Ventoux – twice in the same day to raise awareness and cash for the charity’s ongoing fight against cancer.
The event took place for the first time in 2009, and the annual goal for the Ven2-4Cancer event is the same – to conquer a mountain to help conquer cancer.
The goal for Alastair – apart from reaching the summit of Mont Ventoux at least once during the day – was to raise 1,000 Euros in aid of Inspire2Live, along with the 700 other individuals taking part. Professional cyclists usually make the summit four times during the course of the charity day.
We’ll keep you updated on how much charity cash Alastair raises for this wonderful charity, but a big well done from us to our Gerson superstar.
